3D Character Wolf     My Character When I first downloaded the character the idle animation got messed up and just makes him T pose but honestly its a lot more funny so i decided to keep it that way however all the other animations are working so far  Principles of animation When it come to the principles of animation the 2 i found the most important are Response and Feel. The book talks about how with response you need to balance how well and fast the action responds to the player while not sacrificing the weight of that action to make it as responsive as possible. Feel on the other hand is all about interactivity "the single biggest element that separates video game animation from traditional linear animation is interactivity" Cooper pg.(41). This interactivity is something that you have to focus much more on in a 3D world as there is a new dimension that all your animations need to interact with and work in 3D vs 2D I found that in a 3D world it easier for a play...

Sketch Due to my little to no artistic talent i decided to instead of sketching anything to just find some animations from family guy to use as references the main ones that I focused on was the attack and fall down animations Attack Using this scene and multiple other ones I combined what i liked from the scenes and animations to decide how my character should attack and what the animation should look like Fall down In family guy there are a lot of times that quagmire gets hurt or falls down so i searched for some clips of that happening to him to get an easy idea of how he would fall and how i should make my character act like him Jumping Finding a jumping idea for quagmire was a bit harder to do but in the end i decided it would be funny to have him look like this when he jumps simply because how else would he have gotten in this position Fundamentals of animation Feel for feel the main point I got from the reading is. " the player is essentially locked out of the decision-mak...

Animate! Anticipation For anticipation I made sure that during the animation the legs move and stop in different positions that allow a person to see and tell how the leg will move next "Anticipations used to prepare the viewer for an action"(Cooper pg 30) Follow through and overlap action In my animation you should be able to see the arms and legs move at different time and independently from each other "different parts of a character's body will move at different rates" (Cooper, pg. 32). Arcs In my animation the best example of arcs is with my legs and arms both moving in their own independent arcs with each one swinging in different ways from each other."Most actions follow arcs as elements of the object or character move, such as arms and legs swinging while walking" (Cooper pg 35)

twelve principles of animation

12 Animation Principles      the most important parts of animation are the 12 principles of animation. Today i will be talking about how they appear in assassins creed black flag Staging     The book describes " staging is the principle of presenting any idea so that it is completely and unmistakably clear " (Cooper pg 29). This quote is easy to see in black flag because many cut scenes the player and the target would be alone in a white room making it so the player can focus on just the characters and what they do/say Anticipation     The book describes anticipation as " used to prepare the viewer for an action " (Cooper pg 30). This definition is very easy to see in assassins creed due to the multiple shows they have for jumping and climbing walls. One of the best examples is when you are climbing a wall the character will reach out his hand to where he is going to go next before you tel him to climb...

Linked In Post

A Job In Animation: While search both the reading and Linked In for this post i found that the Job Melee/Game play animator at Naughty Dogs has a lot of points that relate to the book. One main point that i saw was that the job will require you to work with custom Tools and scripting. This relates to the book discussion of technical ability when it says "only through understanding tools, processes, and existing animation systems will new creative opportunities open up"(Cooper, 2019, p.g 2 ) . I also found it interesting that the job says to have an understanding of basic script showing that only knowing animation and nothing else about game design can harm you when looking for jobs. Animators: while searching for people on linked that are animators I found Almudena Soria the lead animator at Naughty dogs. While searching through her profile i found a lot about teamwork and how social she is while working. this relates to the books idea of team work especially when it says ...
